Pawsitively Pets Mini Vet Camp provides participants with a hands on experience of what its like to work in the Veterinary Care Industry. Mini Vet Camp is available to participants from 11 to 16 years old.
Mini Vet Camp is a unique program that will allow 10 to 20 participants between the age of 11-16 years of age the opportunity to take part in a 5 day program to see what it it like to work in the Veterinary Care field. Participants will spend 5 days working hands on in Veterinary Clinics, Animal Shelters, Animal Rehab Centers, and take part in a complete Pet First Aid Course.
Pawsitively Pets Mini Vet Camp is a great way for your child to see if they would like to work in the be a vet industry one day!
**Please note campers will be exposed to hands on medical treatment of pets while in veterinary clinics and providing the clinic schedule permits have the opportunity if they wish to observe a surgery. If participants find any of these activities to be too overwhelming alternative activities will be provided.
Where: Pawsitively Pets Mini Vet Camp will take place at a few locations throughout the downtown core. Daily drop-off/pick-up locations will either be on the CNE Grounds, or at PawsWay - 245 Queens Quay West.
Cost: Sign up before May 31, 2009 - $275.00, After May 31, 2009 - $295.00 (taxes included) A charitable tax receipt will be provided for your regsitration.

Important Camp Info:
1.) Camp will run each day from 9am to 4pm. Camp is a drop-off and pick-up program only. Campers for Mini Vet Camp will be dropped off on the CNE Grounds or at PawsWay - 245 Queens Quay West. A complete schedule will be provided upon registration.
2.) Before and after camp programs are available for early drop off (as early as 8am) and late pick up (as late as 6pm.)
3.) Campers will need to bring a packed lunch, water and a snack each day.
4.) Pawsitively Pets Mini Vet Camp is a charitable day camp. All profits go directly to support homeless pets in need.
5.) Each day campers will interact with a wide variety of pets. If your child suffers from any pet allergies please ensure you notify the staff and ensure they are taking allergy medication.
6.) Campers will be provided with their own vet uniform, and complete Pet First Aid booklet and overview of all material covered in the program.
7.) Campers will be at several locations throughout their time at camp. We will be traveling by school approved busing company to make our way to our destination each day.

Registration Instructions:
1.) Choose a session from the above list. Please note sessions marked FULL do not have any open spots at this time.
2.) Download the camper registration form and fax a copy to 416 546 4887. We will hold the spot for 7 days while we wait for the cheque to be mailed in. (Full payment is required.) Payment information and mailing address is on the registration form.
3.) Once your cheque is received we will mail you a camper information package.
